One day, my friends Mahira, Idrees, and I went to Palm Beach and this older woman and a child were walking along a path that had plants and flowers. While stopping to check out the nature, the child became frightened because a bee started to buzz around them. The woman said, so calmly, “there is no need to be afraid of the bee. What if the bee had just mistaken you for a flower?” I don’t know why, but that moment was pretty special to me, and I wasn’t even a part of it 😂 I just loved hearing something that I’ve seen as a meme be manifested in real life (by someone that has probably hasn’t seen the meme to begin with). Our natural instinct is to get scared and swat at whatever is flying in our vicinity…. But we might just be getting confused for big flowers.
